My Little Coach

Today during my daughter's ball practice, I walked outside.  I had already completed my cycling class, but in training for the half marathon, I needed to get in 3 miles today.  I walked 3.5 miles!  She came out before I was finished and walked with me.  She proceeds to tell me that she thinks she has figured out why my weight loss is slowing down.  (I lost 0.4 pounds today at weigh in)  She decided that I have been walking so long that I need to start jogging to jump start my weight loss.  All I could do is smile.  She had really thought about this!  I just love her sooo much!  So, we took off jogging for a short while.  I hope everyone that encounters a weight removal mission has a great little coach and motivator like mine!

My half marathon is on her 10th birthday.  When I heard the marathon was on her birthday, I knew it was meant to be.  I hope the next 10 years of her life I will be a FIT mom!  I also pray that I will be an example to her so that she doesn't have to struggle with this as much as I have.   She has been a large part of my purpose for weight removal.  I want to be here for her wedding and children.  I don't want diabetes to rob me from these pleasures in life.  Now, I just pray as we enter the pre-teen years, that she skips all the typical teen attitudes to come!??!!!???!!!

Marathon

I found the perfect way to mix up my exercise this Winter.  It has really helped my with my weight loss.  I have not been tracking as well and eating too much, but I managed to lose another 2.4 pounds this week.  Stick with it and it will all be gone!

I took a step of faith this week and signed up for my first half marathon.  I'm a little nervous, but really excited.  I am walking with a great friend on my daughter's 10th birthday!  I think that means a lot for our future.  I can't wait to make a healthy impact on my children.
